Whisk soy sauce, vegetable oil, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic powder together in a large bowl. Pierce flank steak several times with a large fork. Place in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap. In the meantime, wash and trim the ends of the zucchini.

I used flap steak (sirloin tips), but any thinner cut of beef will do including flank steak, hanger steak or skirt steak. Slice the mushrooms and trim the broccoli.
